I still find that on some variations there are like 10 moves without description and it can be hard on those ones to know why this move has been played and what motivates it. It goes very deeply in terms of number of moves and is very complete, up-to-date and checked by multiple GMs and strong computers. This book contains 488 variations and is purely the study of the Nimzo-Ragozin opening with a bit of study of its deviations. Second book I bought at the same time is "Lifetime Repertoires: The Nimzo-Ragozin" because I am a French player playing the French and each time I was puzzled out when facing the 1.d4 from White, so I needed an answer for it.

It still is a bit hard for me to motivate myself progressing on it as endgames are rarer and then learning the topic makes it less immediatlely rewarding (like working on a specific ending that happens 0.5% of games). In my opinion this book is great to learn the fundamentals of endgame.

It explains well how to win or draw all endgames and which is more it tries to help you remember the "rules". Great book on the most standards endings, starts with some data on endgames like frequency of appearence in games for each one of them all and globally.Īlso talks about pieces mobility (did you noticed it takes as many moves for a knight to go from b2 to a1 than to go from b2 to h8 ? I find it funny). I still can translate my post if you need it. Haha, I only realized your pseudo sounded french after answering you but English indeed seems to have become the international language. I hope you will find a solution that fits your need.

I wish there could exists such deep content as free, but pro chess players need a way to get money too I guess.Īt first I was doing like you and creating personnal studies but I think the lichess feature still needs improvements. If it doesn't work it then shows the textual indications that was displayed while learning the line. They also have a feature called "reviewing" which propose you the positions you have learnt and you have to find the right move. So far I've bought 4 courses and each of them is long enough to take a few months to get through. It should be enough to you at first but if you want to be serious about it you can buy a course (around 20-30$).

The downside is that the free content is only very light on the subjects. It is a great tool to learn a new repertoire and they also have digitalizes versions of books that I have in paper and that I found hard to read because of the lack of interractivity. Hello, I've had the same issues a few months ago, then a friend told me about which is a site where you can build courses on variations.

In fact my simple question is where can i find in internet full PGN repertoire ( full of course is ambiguous, i mean a decent repertoire size at least) ) reliable and not outdated for a specific opening. I would like to know where i can find a complete repertoire ( i mean PGN lines to learn by heart to get prepared, with RELIABLE lines and variants) for a specific opening ( in my case the sicilian variant najdorf). I would like to switch to the sicilian, najdorf variation. My question is : How to have a equivalent of " my work" (=Lichess study with PGN lines and repertoire) for any opening ? ( of course i did the same against 1.d4, and as white for 1.e4 because i play e4). I like lines with good % victory, i dont like weird openings and/or outdated.įurthermore, i created a lichess's study (thanks) where i exactly enter all this lines with 1.e4 e5 ( for black), this way i can see and work my repertoire being able to no forget some lines. I am confident to say these lines are sound. So the size of my repertoire is not so bad for my level and i learnt many lines i choose by heart. I know exactly what i choose against evans gambit, kings gambit, ruy lopez, scotish gambit, scotch game etc. With time, i have built a repertoire full of lines that i have learnt by heart. I played many games with black with e5, and as i am serious, after each game (blitz rapid or slow) i look the database and analyse the game.
